“Us” Review (2019)

WHAT DID I JUST WATCH?

This will not be a review just my immediate thoughts because how can you review a movie of this standard? There are not enough words to use to describe what I just watched.

Jordan Peele mind is a masterpiece. The originality in his films is what I love the most. Get Out is one of the best films I have ever seen because I have never seen a film like it There was no predictability about the film.

Get out made me love Jordan peele work but Us just solidified everything. Anything Jordan Peele makes I am watching. I would literally watch him read the dictionary.

 

 

Us is so good and original. I have yet to process what I have seen in this film! The theories I have. The soundtrack is bomb! The ability to turn a classic into a horror song.

 

 

Then the beginning of the film was playing my favorite Janelle Monae song I was hooked then.

 

This definitely not your typical horror movie and that’s what I love the most about it! I love that I have a million and one questions about the film.

 

 

Don’t even get me started on the acting. The WHOLE CAST CARRIED! but, Lupita deserves alllllllll the awards ever made. Sis, was MARVELOUS!! she was perfecccctttt! I mean she actually had me believing she wasn’t the clone the whole time.

I don’t think I understand the message of the film yet because I mean who thinks like this? I can even begin to think about that yet because I may be wrong and I need the answer from Jordan Peele himself. I have too many theories to take into consideration!

 

 

THE ENDING!!!!!!!!! just when I thought I was understanding something Jordan peele flips the switch. Sir, I am going to need answers. Because if I was confused before the ending got me completely baffled.

 

 

This film is a masterpiece that deserves all the awards. Jordan Peele mind is in a category of its own. He is a certified Legend.
