Angelina Jolie.

One of my favorite actresses of all time is Angeline Jolie. Sis is just a Bad Ass. So, I started this new blog series where I choose one of my favorite actors and do mini-reviews and recommendations of my favorite movies/Tv shows of theirs.  This list will include my ratings and only the films and television shows I COMPLETELY RECOMMEND!


 

 

 

Mr. and Mrs. Smith (2005)

John (Brad Pitt) and Jane Smith (Angelina Jolie), a couple in a stagnating marriage, live a deceptively mundane existence. However, each has been hiding a secret from the other: they are assassins working for adversarial agencies. When they are both assigned to kill the same target, Benjamin Danz (Adam Brody), the truth comes to the surface. Finally free from their cover stories, they discover that they have been assigned to kill each other, sparking a series of explosive attacks.

Mini-Review:  Classic. The start of Brangelina.

Wanted (2008)

Wesley Gibson (James McAvoy) is an office worker whose life is going nowhere. After his estranged father is murdered, he meets Fox (Angelina Jolie), who recruits him into the Fraternity, a secret society of assassins which takes its orders from Fate itself. Fox and Sloan (Morgan Freeman), the Fraternity’s leader, teach Wesley to tap into dormant powers. Though he enjoys his newfound abilities, he begins to suspect that there is more to the Fraternity than meets the eye.

Mini-Review: sis, was a G in this movie.

She engages in an epic battle with the invading king’s successor, then curses his newborn daughter, Aurora — realizing only later that the child holds the key to peace in the kingdom.

Mini-Review: This role could not have been played by anyone else.

Salt (2010)

When Evelyn Salt (Angelina Jolie) became a CIA officer, she swore an oath to duty, honor, and country. But, when a defector accuses her of being a Russian spy, Salt’s oath is put to the test. Now a fugitive, Salt must use every skill gained from years of training and experience to evade capture, but the more she tries to prove her innocence, the more guilty she seems.

Mini-Review: sis, just exudes badassness and this role display that perfectly.

Gia (1998)

Gia Carangi (Angelina Jolie) travels to New York City with dreams of becoming a fashion model. Within minutes of arriving, she meets Wilhelmina Cooper (Faye Dunaway), a wise and high-powered agent who takes Gia under her wing. With Cooper’s help and her own natural instincts, Gia quickly shoots to the top of the modeling world. When Cooper dies of lung cancer, however, Gia turns to drugs — and both she and her career begin to spiral out of control.

Mini-Review: Angelina BODIED this role.

Taking Lives (2004)

An insidious serial killer is impersonating his victims’ identities as he travels across Canada. A recent spate of murders in Montreal has brought FBI Agent Illeana Scott (Angelina Jolie) north to investigate. Scott’s unusual methods quickly earn the suspicion of the local police but bring her close to art dealer James Costa (Ethan Hawke), who says he was an eyewitness to the latest murder. Sparks develop between the two as Costa’s role becomes crucial in their effort to apprehend the killer.

Mini-Review:  Plot twist was a motherfucker. Angelina was amazing but, Ethan Hawke was perfect.

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️.5
